Spring is finally here, and that means more sunlight and warmer weather and the first pitch of another Major League Baseball (MLB) season. In 2026, we get both an Opening Night and an Opening Day to usher in the 162-game Regular Season on the heels of the World Baseball Classic.

On, Wednesday, March 25, it’s a special Opening Night offering for MLB fans and an Interleague game between the AL’s New York Yankees and the NL’s San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park (Tifway 419 Bermuda Grass) in San Francisco, California (Netflix, 8:05 EDT/7:05 CDT/5:05 PDT).

On, Thursday, March 26, it’s a traditional Opening Day with 11 games on tap including the Pirates at the Mets in what could be a Paul Skenes-Freddy Peralta duel (Peacock, MLBTV, 1:15 EDT/10:15 PDT) and the Nats at the Cubs at historic Wrigley Field in Chicago (2:20 EDT/11:20 PDT, MLBTV).

The 2026 Major League Regular Season will run until September 27 with the MLB Playoffs starting two days later on September 29. The 2026 World Series is scheduled to begin on October 23 with a potential Game 7 to be played on Halloween, October 31. Scary stuff Harmon Killebrew.

The 2026 Home Run Derby and the 2026 All-Star Game will be held at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the two-time defending World Series champions, led by superstar two-way player Shohei Ohtani.

At Polymarket, baseball traders are backing Ohtani and the Dodgers (28%) to three-peat, followed by the Aaron Judge and the Yankees (8%), the Mets (7%), the Mariners (7%), the Padres (6%), the Blue Jays (6%), the Red Sox (5%), the Cubs (5%),the Brewers (5%), and the Braves (5%).

2026 American League Winner at Robinhood

Last 2025 MLB season, Toronto surprised many, winning the Junior Circuit and pushing the Dodgers to the full seven games in the 2025 World Series as players like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, and George Springer made Canada proud again and almost became the new champs.

Bichette and veteran P Max Scherzer are gone this year and Toronto failed to sign FA Kyle Tucker (Dodgers), but the Blue Jays added some real talent in 3B Kazuma Okamoto, OF Jesus Sanchez, and P Dylan Cease and rookie P Trey Yesavage looks to blossom. This roster is very sparkly.

At Robinhood, MLB traders are only giving Toronto an 10% chance at repeating as winners in the American League (AL) this season, with Seattle (20%), New York (15%), and stud rookie Roman Anthony and Boston (12%), and Tarek Skubal and Detroit (10%) where the other money has gone.

Baltimore (8%), Houston (7%), Texas (7%), Kansas City (4%), Cleveland (2%), Nick Kurtz and the A’s (2%), Minnesota (2%), Tampa Bay (2%), with Chicago (1%) and Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels (1%) rounding out the big underdogs on the professional diamond.

➤Trading Thoughts: Seattle is a popular pick, and with solid pitching and guys like Cal Raleigh, Julio Rodríguez, and Randy Arozarena. But the M’s have sucked in Spring Training (5-14-1) and were 2-10 in its last 12 at this writing and face West Division challengers Houston and Texas.

It seems six could win the AL, and the predictive masses have it right with Seattle, NY, Boston, Toronto, Detroit, and Houston. The Tigers played grrreat in 2025 and have an ace in Tarek Skubal. But Okamoto, Cease, and Yesavage will help the Jays repeat. Trading Picks: Toronto, Yes 10¢ (Bid)

2026 National League Winner at Robinhood

Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers won the National League (NL) the last two seasons, en route to winning the World Series in 2024 and 2025, so seeing Los Angeles as prohibitive favorites again in the Senior Circuit—even before the new MLB season has started—is no big surprise.

Lefty legend Clayton Kershaw may have retired, but Los Doyers got stronger, adding FA Kyle Tucker (Cubs) and Edwin Díaz (Mets). The starting pitching is A+ and LA won it all again last year with Ohtani not pitching much and the team not even playing up to its true potential.

MLB traders at Robinhood give Los Angeles a healthy 43% chance of winning the NL again and getting back to the Fall Classic, followed by Juan Soto and New York (12%), Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs (9%), and Bryce Harper and Philadelphia (9%).

Ronald Acuña and Atlanta (6%), Milwaukee (6%), Fernando Tatis Jr and San Diego (4%), San Francisco (4%), Arizona (2%), Cincinnati (2%), Paul Skenes and Pittsburgh (2%), Colorado (1%), Miami (1%), St Louis (1%), Miami (1%), and Washington (1%) are the big underdogs in the NL.

➤Trading Thoughts: LA’s P staff—Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Ohtani, Tyler Glanow, and Emmet Sheehan—is like the Rolling Stones, five key members giving shelter to the rest of the team, the Dodger Dog-eating faithful at Chavez Ravine and Tommy Lasorda up in Dodger Blue Heaven.

Who can challenge LA? Philadelphia can if everything goes right and NL West rivals SF, SD, and/or Arizona can make life hard. Milwaukee is the best value (6c). But this is a 100-win roster and LA can play better and know a strike is looming in 2027. Trading Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers, Yes 42¢

Who Will be the Next President of France ?

The term of current France President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to come to an end on May 13, 2027 with the centrist Renaissance party candidate having served as the nation’s 25th president since May 14, 2017. France will hold its next presidential election in April 2027.

At Polymarket, traders have poured over $13 million into the ‘Next French Presidential Election’ market, and it’s anyone’s guess who will be the next occupant of Élysée Palace. Over a year out, traders like Jordan Bardella (26%) and Édouard Philippe (20%) with others getting consideration.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon (10%), Marine Le Pen (8%), Dominique de Villepin (7%), Bruno Retaileau (4%), Sarah Knafo (3%), Gabriel Attal (3%), Jean Castex (3%), and Sébastien Lecornu (2%) all followed Bardella and Philippe as Macron begins his last year in power in France.

➤Trading Thoughts: Far right candidate Bardella has been the president of the National Rally (RN) since 2022 and has become frontrunner over Philippe, the mayor of Le Havre since 2020 and Prime Minister of France under Macron (2017 to 2020). Trading Pick: Édouard Philippe, Yes 20¢

SOL vs Silver: Which Hits $150 First?’ at Myriad Markets

In the crypto vs precious metals battle at Myriad Markets, ‘SOL vs Silver: Which Hits $150 First?”, the little brother to Gold, Silver (55.4%) is expected to reach $150 before Solana (44.6%) does.

On March 22, Silver was trading at $67.08, some $83 away from that magical mark while Solana (SOL) was at $88.47, only a $61.53 jump to $150. But “only” has a different meaning in crypto these days and precious metals are more stable than the popular public blockchain platform.

➤Trading Thoughts: This one may take a long time to resolve under current conditions, but with Myriad Markets more like a prediction market playground, it’s fun to speculate. Silver hit a new all-time high (ATH) on January 29 ($121.78), and makes more sense. Trading Pick: Silver, Yes, 55¢

Who Will be the Cleveland Browns Week 1 Starting QB?

The 2026-27 NFL Regular Season is still over the hills and far away but it is never too early to have fun with ‘Who Will be the Cleveland Browns Week 1 Starting QB?’ and Kalshi already has a market online and a surprising amount of liquidity ($27,047) for a Winter’’s day (March 10).

The weird thing is that veteran and thought-to-be-long-gone QB Deshaun Watson (27%) is still so popular with traders over second-year man Deshaun Sanders (46%), Mac Jones (19%), and Anthony Richardson (4%) not even on the Browns’ roster (Indianapolis Colts still).

Longshots in traders minds? Second-year man Dillon Gabriel (12%) and Alabama’s Ty Simpson (4%) also have some ‘Yes’ contracts. Cleveland owns the #6 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

➤Trading Thoughts: Last season, the Browns had highly touted rookies Sanders (Colorado) and Gabriel (Oregon), contract nightmare Watson ($230 million), vet Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Tyler Huntley, and Bailey Zappe. Sanders started 7 games, Gabriel 6, and Flacco 4 for Cleveland (5-12).

Brows Training Camp will be interesting, and after taking two QBs in the 2025 NFL Draft, don’t expect the Browns to use the #6 pick on a QB, unless the sky has fallen and no one has taken Indiana Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza. Trading Pick: Sheddeur Sanders, Yes 46¢

2026 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot Award Winner

We are just three months away from the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup 2026 to be held in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico)—the first to ever be hosted by three different countries—as ageless legend Lionel Messi and Argentina look to defend their World Cup title.

In the 2026 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner market at Kalshi, traders are backing French and striker Kylian Mbappé (20%) to capture the award for the tournament’s highest goal-scorer. The Real Madrid star is followed by England’s Harry Kane (18%), the key cog for Bayern Munich.

Norwegian giant Erling Haaland (15%), Spain’s Lamine Yamal (14%), Brazilian Vinicius Junior (13%), Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo (12%), Argentina’s Lionel Messi (8%), USA’s Christian Pulisic (5%), Colombia’s Luis Díaz (5%), and Argentina’s Lautaro Martínez (5%) round out the contracts.

➤Trading Thoughts: Figuring out which country will advance the farthest in the WC is a key to handicapping this scoring market and award won by Mbappé at the 2022 FIFA World Cup  where he had 8 goals—including a hat trick in the Final—vs Messi (7 goals) and Argentina in a loss.

Argentina, Spain, England, Germany, and France will be the nations to beat this Summer, but Argentina (Messi-Martínez) and France (Mbappé -Dembélé) may split goals again. Kane, CR7, and Haaland will be popular picks, but La Albiceleste’s Martínez and Messi are the trading value plays in my mind. Trading Pick: Lionel Messi, Yes 8¢, Lautaro Martínez, Yes 5¢

2026 French Open Women’s Singles Winner at Novig

The second major of the Tennis calendar year, the 2026 French Open at Stade Roland Garros (Clay) in Paris, France is set to be played from May 18 to June 7, and after looking at the Men’s Singles Futures market last week, let’s look at the 2026 French Open Women’s Winner market.

At Novig in the Women’s Singles winner market, top-ranked Polish star Iga Świątek is the trader’s favorite (+192) followed by Aryna Sabalenka (Yes +264, No -339),Coco Gauff (Yes +521, No -777), Mirra Andreeva (Yes +706, No -1199) and Elena Rybakina (Yes +987, No -2122).

Bigger underdogs in the market included Sara Bejlek (Yes +1624), Amanda Anisimova (Yes +1983), Qinwen Zheng (Yes +1983), Victoria Mbolo (Yes +2464), Elina Svitlova (Yes +2603), Karolina Muchova (Yes +3025), Madison Keys (Yes +3126), and Jasmine Paolini (Yes +3333).

➤Trading Thoughts: Last year, it was American Coco Gauff who was the Women’ Singles winner on the red clay, defeating Aryna Sabalenka, 6-7, 6-2, 6-4. Iga Świątek has won the event in 4 of the last 6 years (2020, 2022, 2023, 2024) and should be the favorite in PMs and sportsbooks.

In the season’s first major, the Australian Open, Elena Rybakina beat Sabalenka in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. Sabalenka is #1 on the WTA Women’s Singles rankings. A Sabalenka-Świątek Final would delight depending on being on different sides of the FO draw.

Looking at the head-to-head record between Sabalenka-Świątek, we see that the 24-year-old and #2-ranked Świątek is 8-5 vs Sabalenka, going 5-2 on clay although Sabalenka won the last 2 on clay including the French Semis in 2025. The worm has turned. Trading Pick: Aryna Sabalenka, Yes +264

2026 American League East Winner at Kalshi

Last season in the 2025 American League (AL) East winner market, despite finishing with identical 94-68 records, the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees needed a tiebreaker, and because the Bluebirds beat the Bronx Bombers 8-5 in the RS, the Canadians got the bacon.

And Blue Jays backers at Kalshi got the winner, which needed to go down to the last game of the Regular Season and which saw Toronto capture its first AL East crown since 2005 and hold off Aaron Judge and the hard-charging Yankees in the division who won their last 8 straight games.

The Red Sox (89-73) finished in third, the Rays (77-85) were fourth, and the Orioles (75-87) finished in a disappointing fifth and last place and were the only AL East team who finished the season with a negative Run Differential (-111, 677 RD-788 RA) and a losing Home record (39-42).

Trading Thoughts: The Yankees (33%) didn’t change their roster much, and with SP’s Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon starting the season injured, NY will look to hang in the race and start off as strong as it finished last year. Boston (22%) added valuable arms and with rookie Roman Anthony, will challenge.

Defending division champs Toronto (26%) lost SS Bichette but got Kaz Okamoto from Japan and have some underrated guys like George Springer, Ernie Clement, Nathan Lukes, Daulton Varsho, and backstop Alejandro Kirk. The Blue Jays spent $29 million more on payroll than in 2025.

Baltimore (20%) is being given way more of a shot at winning the AL East than thought, but something always goes wrong in Crab City. Tampa Bay (3%) has no bay and no shot at winning the division according to traders at Kalshi. Trading Pick: Toronto Blue Jays, Yes 26¢

2026 National League East Winner at Kalshi

In the 2025 MLB Regular Season, Bryson Stott (no relationship) and the Philadelphia Phillies ran away with the NL East, capturing the 5-team division by 13 games with a 86-66 record, with the Mets (82-79), the Marlins (79-83), the Braves (76-86), and the Nationals (66-96) all following.

The Phillies had the best Home record (55-26) while Philadelphia and Miami both went 41-40 on the Road. Washington was the worst team at Home (32-49) while New York and Washington were both just 34-47 on the Road last season. Expect Atlanta to be better and Florida to be worse.

At Kalshi, traders are backing Juan Soto and the Mets (42%) to be the NL East Division Winner this year, with defending division champs the Phillies (31%), the Braves (32%), and the Marlins (2%)

following and the Nationals (<1%) down on the bottom of the dark seas where everything settles.

Trading Thoughts: This is a three-team race, but like last season, over 162 games, expect the Mets and Braves to be their own worst enemies and Bryce Harper and the Phillies to rise to the top. NY lost slugger Pete Alonso but signed Freddy Peralta (Brewers) and Bo Bichette (Blue Jays).

The Braves are always injured but did a very nice job in the offseason strengthening their bench and Atlanta could challenge for the NL East. The Phillies re-signed DH Kyle Schwarber and C JT Realmuto and will expect to win a third straight time. Trading Pick: Philadelphia Phillies, Yes 31¢

Who Will be the #1 Pick in the Upcoming 2026 NHL Draft?

A new market at Polymarket, ‘2026 NHL Draft: 1st Overall Pick,’ doesn’t have much liquidity just yet, but it does give a glimpse into which young hockey players across the world should be the first to go in the upcoming 2026 National Hockey Draft (NHL) Draft this Summer.

The Buffalo Sabres will host the 2026 NHL Draft at KeyBank Stadium in Buffalo with Round 1 on Friday, June 26 (ESPN, ESPN+, Sportsnet, TVA Sports, 7 EDT/6 CDT/4 PDT) and Rounds 2-7 on

Saturday, June 27 (NHL Network, ESPN+, Sportsnet, 10 EDT/9 CDT/7 PDT).

Traders overwhelmingly think 18-year old Penn State F and Canadian Gavin McKenna (69%) will be the #1 pick, followed by 18-year-old LW Ivar Stenberg (25%), of Frölunda HC in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Then there is a massive trading gap.

Keaton Verhoeff (5%),Viggo Björck (4%), Chase Reid (3%), and Ilya Morozov (2%) all followed with the rest of the young skating flock all registering 1% in players like Niklas Aaram-Olsen, Mikey Berchild, Ethan Belchetz, Oliver Suvanto, Caleb Malhotra, and Mathis Preston.

Trading Thoughts: Although not so liquid, this screams McKenna will likely be the #1 pick in three months. We predict, therefore we are. A 2023 Upper Deck CHL Star Rookies Outburst #351 PSA 10 Gem Mint card is worth $3,600 already. Trading Pick: Gavin McKenna, Yes 70¢

Top 10 Finisher in All 4 PGA Golf Majors Futures at Kalshi

Last year we saw something pretty remarkable on the 2025 PGA Tour where golfer Scottie Scheffler finished the season in the Top 10 in all four Major PGA events, the Masters, the PGA Championship, the US Open, and The Open, the major Formerly Known As The British Open.

Scheffler finished an impressive 21 strokes ahead of his nearest competitor on the combined Golf leaderboard for the four events where men in very funny clothes hit very small balls across big fields in an effort to get the small ball in a small hole smaller than a grapefruit.

Any Golfer (56%) is the favorite here with 2025 PGA Tour Player of the Year, Scheffler (30%) to repeat the feat of being a ‘Top 10 Finisher in all 4 Golf Majors,’ a market which will still be open for business even after the completion of the Masters Tournament next month (April 9-12).

Following Scheffler in this market where having (almost) all of the ‘No’s would be sheer genius are Rory McIlroy (20%), Xander Schauffele (14%), Bryson Dechambeau (9%), Brooks Koepka (8%), Sahith Theegala (7%) Swedish sensation Ludvig Åberg (7%), and Tommy Fleetwood (6%).

The bigger longshots in this market are Collin Morikawa (5%), Jordan Spieth (5%), Hideki Matsuyama (4%), Akshay Bhatia (4%), Justin Rose (4%), and Justin Thomas (4%).

Trading Thoughts: A Top 10 finish at the Masters Tournament next month is a must for ‘Yes’ contracts for PGA golfers in this prediction market, and there are many playing pretty darn good, but can they maintain that form and stay injury-free all season?

We saw Collin Morikawa WD from THE PLAYERS Championship after one hole with back issues, so this is a reality. Who is playing good—besidies Scheffler dating back to last year—and could possibly finish in the Top 10 in all four PGA Majors?

For me, the list is like six. Scheffler, Morikawa, Schauffele, Åberg, Viktor Hovland, and new sensation and 2026 Genesis Invitational winner Jacob Bridgeman, a player to watch (and trade and bet on) for the future. His name should be here. Trading Pick: Xander Schauffele, Yes 14¢

➠In the next issue of The Prediction Report, we’ll take a look at the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 with previews for all four games on Friday, ‘Will Polymarket Announce a Token Before May?’, Arizona filing charges against Kalshi, DEATH BETS Bill introduced in Congress, ‘Who Will Win Top Chef Season 23?’, Chicago NFL relocation, USA vs Belgium in a Men’s Soccer friendly, and a WBC Super Welterweight bout preview.
